There were twelve entries in our 1st Scarecrow Decorating contest! Winner are show below:

Scarecrow decorating contest sponsored by the Wetmore Public Library

Decorate a scarecrow at your home with a “library” theme.  Anything to do with reading, audio books, etc.    Involve your kids and make it a family activity!!! Have fun with it!

1st Place is a nook  Simple Touch Reader by Barnes & Noble

Judging will take place on Wednesday, October 26th from 6:30 – 8:30 by the Library Board of Trustees.

Preregistration is required!!    Call 785-866-2250, stop in to the library or email Sandy: director@wetmorepubliclibrary.org  to register.

Consolation prizes will be awarded!

Since Mrs. Grollmes, Wetmore Academic Center Librarian has purchased the rights to ALL Accelerated Reader tests, many student readers have been asking, “Does this book have an AR test?”

Well, it’s easy to find out. Simply go to AR Book Finder and type in the title. If the book is in the database, it will show the reading level and number of points possible.
